Linda Kipsey has loved art from a very young age, where she used to wander in the Great Smoky Mountains with her sketch pad and appreciate the beauty of nature. "I think art should be uplifting and remind us of the beauty around us. There is enough negativity in life, I am inspired to convey the joy of discovery in a prismatic rainbow, an exquisite unfolding flower or the delicate intricacy of a butterfly wing."

Linda is primarily a self-taught artist, although she took several art courses in high school and college. Recently she has been studying with Linda Lord in Scotts Valley. Ms. Lord has been a strong influence on Linda's developing techniques and love of natural beauty.

Linda is very devoted to her journey as an artist and began painting with watercolors four years ago. Now she paints daily and feels a day is complete only when she has her brushes and palette in action. She has attended workshops with Elizabeth Kincaid and master watercolorist Tony Couch. She plans continuing education with more workshops, coaching and self study.
